Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Blocking traffic on blue bridges in Kaluga will lead to early commissioning of the facility

In Kaluga, the blocking of traffic on the blue bridges for 4 months will lead to an early commissioning of the installation. In addition, it will ensure safety during construction work and will not pose a threat to vehicles, it was announced Monday, March 6 at a work planning meeting in the city government.

“The terms of the contract for the blue bridges are until the end of this year. We understand the logic according to which the general contractor acts in the event of a complete blockage of traffic. This, among other things, the safety of work, counts given the vibration load that the drilling will have on the bridge. The site itself has very constraining circumstances in terms of keeping traffic on the blue bridges. If the overlap is introduced, this will allow the contract to be closed earlier than expected they said at the planning meeting.

The overlap should be introduced from April 1. The work of the contractor will be carried out daily. All the metal structures of the viaduct have already been manufactured and are being prepared for delivery to Kaluga.

For residents of Kaluga, detour routes will be offered for the duration of the shutdown. Now the traffic scheme is being worked out in detail, taking into account the load of the Grabtsevo highway, Okruzhnaya road and all other streets.

As stated earlier, Blue Bridges is one of the trouble spots in Kaluga. There are always traffic jams here. The bridge acts as a bottleneck that cuts off a large microdistrict from the city. Kaluga authorities have found a way out of a difficult situation. Funds from the federal infrastructure loan will be used to rebuild the overpass and the entire interchange.
