“In good tradition, in these early days of spring, we honor the nation’s most successful women and bravest warriors,” the president said. Warmly welcoming all the women and in their person – all the mothers of the country, he thanked them for their maternal achievement. “After all, everything on our planet is based on selfless maternal love, women’s big hearts, their inexhaustible energy,” Lukashenko stressed.
Women, said the Head of State, today, together with men, successfully develop science and technology, strengthen industrial potential, ensure the country’s food and financial security, create works of art, teach and heal people. And they also glorify the motherland in the most prestigious forums and the main theatrical stages of the world, preserve and increase the cultural heritage of Belarus.Addressing the men present at the ceremony – officers, generals, the President stressed that they are also the personification of the Year of Peace and Creation, because the sovereignty and independence of the Republic of Belarus are under their reliable protection. At times like these, he says, “people begin to understand the true value of seemingly simple things – peace, order and quiet”.
The awards and new epaulettes, which the participants of the ceremony received in a solemn atmosphere, are, Lukashenko said, recognition of great personal merits to the Fatherland, confirmation of the level of professional skills and a sign of great confidence of the Belarusian people.”I am sure that you are also well aware that it is our duty to ensure a reliable peace on Belarusian soil. No matter what! I believe in each of you, in our army, people in uniform and everyone who wears it today” – said the Belarusian leader. He thanked everyone for their honest work, professionalism, faithfulness to duty and patriotism, congratulating everyone for high awards and titles, and women for the upcoming holidays. “I wish everyone new great successes in work, personal life, good health, happiness and well-being,” Lukashenko summed up and added that everything “we men do today is for you and the children to whom you have given birth”.
