The National Human Rights Committee obtained an accreditation certificate with a classification of (A) until 2025 by the Subcommittee on Accreditation of the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions, for the third time in a row. According to the renewal of accreditation, the National Committee will maintain its classification in the highest degree granted to the National Institution from 2010 until 2025, after which it will be subject to re-accreditation again and a review of its compliance with the principles of Paris. She noted that the independence of the National Committee, especially with regard to financial and administrative independence, was a fundamental reason for its steadfastness at the top of the classification of national human rights institutions, in addition to issuing annual reports and special reports that are publicly announced and uploaded to the official website of the Committee, and the recommendations of the Committee remain. The subject of interest and discussion in the relevant government ministries. Noting that these experiences are now considered one of the most important references adopted by many national institutions in the region, to strengthen their expertise in the human and human rights field. For her part, Her Excellency Amina Bou Ayyash, Vice-President of the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions, affirmed that the National Human Rights Committee’s handing over the accreditation certificate proves the committee’s full compliance with international standards governing the work of national human rights institutions, known as the Paris Principles, including independence.
