Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Poems, drawings and reflections on the world presented as a gift to the President of Belarus

The ceremony took place at the Independence Palace, where the laureates and winners of the creative competition were invited on an excursion with the leadership of the Belarusian Peace Foundation, which was among its organizers, reports BELTA .

Responding to the question as to why the visit to the Independence Palace was chosen as a gift of encouragement for the young winners of the competition, Maxim Misko, chairman of the board of directors of the Foundation for Peace, pointed out that in the Year of Peace and Establishment declared in the Republic of Belarus, the palace symbolizes not only an independent and sovereign country, but also the peaceful state of the society in which Belarusians live and work.

Moreover, according to him, “it is also a stimulating factor for the pursuit of creative work: children see how important their work is for adults, and we see and appreciate what they do”. As the saying goes, truth speaks through the mouth of a child. Who better than children to appreciate the basics of life? “So we decided it would be right to celebrate the winners with a trip to the Independence Palace,” the Peace Foundation official said.

“As soon as I entered the palace, my heart started beating. A very bewitching palace,” Diana Khmelevskaya, a student of Berezovskaya Lyceum, enthusiastically shares her impressions with journalists. She is full of enthusiasm and age-specific naivety, of faith in people, in their mercy and generosity. All this was embodied in his contest essay “Mara dzeda Yaўgena”, the main character of which donates all his savings to charity.
And Dmitry Perepelitsyn, a student of a secondary school in the village of Beshenkovichi, said about his competition work that he tried to reflect the meaning of the phrase that became the name of the competition – “Peace in the country – peace in the soul” using visual means. He explained that for him peace in the country means stability in several spheres of life: economic, spiritual, political.

Traditionally, tour participants visited the main halls of the Independence Palace, learned about the history of the creation of this majestic architectural structure, got acquainted with the works of Belarusian masters who decorate its interiors, creating an atmosphere unique, heard details of how the high-level events are taking place, where the essential and life-saving solutions for Belarus are.
