He decided to memorize the Qur’an after the Qatar World Cup. The Bayern Munich player recites the Qur’an with reverence (video)

Wearing the traditional Moroccan dress.. Naseer Mazraoui, player of the German club Bayern Munich, appeared in an interview on a YouTube channel, as he recited Surat Al-Duha, with a beautiful voice and humble recitation.

Mazrawi said during the interview that he decided, after the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, to memorize the Holy Qur’an. He pointed out that he does not read the Qur’an much before or after Ramadan, expressing his shame of himself because of this matter.

He explained: "During my prayers, I only read some surahs and at that time I feel ashamed of that, and here I took the step of memorizing the Qur’an. My goal, God willing, is to become a memorizer of the Qur’an, and then understand the Qur’an and apply it in my life. I also want to share this knowledge with the people close to me, and eventually I want to become an imam."

Regarding the reason for his recitation of Surat Al-Duha specifically, Mazrawi said: "I realize that this surah was revealed to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, when he was going through difficult times, and that is why I am amazed, because I also went through difficult times in my life. Worldly life doesn’t make me emotional, only talking about our religion makes me"according to Al Jazeera.
