Russian traveler and travel blogger Marina Ershova told in her personal blog how to live on the Indonesian island of Bali for 40,000 rubles for two.
The author noted that Bali is still a budget resort, so tourists can easily live there cheaply. The girl said that she stayed in hotels where the cost of a room with breakfast was 450-600 rubles per day.
The blogger informed that rental prices are falling after the end of the tourist season.
“So, about 13,000 rubles a month are spent on accommodation in different parts of the island with a view of the sea or the jungle, the mountains or the rice fields,” Yershova explained.
Yershova said she buys products in markets and supermarkets. According to her, products in Bali cost the same or even cheaper than in Russia. In a cafe, a portion costs from 50 to 200 rubles, in a restaurant – from 300 to 900 rubles. Given the cost of renting housing and food, it is really possible to live together on the island for 40,000 rubles.
