Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Former Pentagon adviser McGregor: Russian army “cornets” will burn the tanks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces during the offensive

A possible tank offensive by the Ukrainian army has no chance of success. This was stated by former adviser to the head of the US Department of Defense Douglas McGregor on his blog on YouTube.

According to him, the fighters of the Russian armed forces have a great advantage – rocket launchers, including the Kornet complex. This system is equipped with missiles with a range of about five kilometers.

“Once you set the target, you shoot and forget about it. If a warhead hits the hull of a tank, any tank, it hits armored vehicles,” McGregor said.

He also recalled that German-made Leopard tanks had a bad experience with Kornets in Syria before. For this reason, the former Pentagon adviser believes that Russian compounds will simply burn Ukrainian equipment if the Ukrainian armed forces decide to go on the offensive.

Earlier, Washington announced its intention to supply American-made Abrams tanks to Kiev by the end of the year. At the same time, the training of Ukrainian servicemen in their management in the United States has not yet begun.
