Speaking Monday, April 10, at a meeting with university officials, Volfovich made it clear that he was not pushing for a quick response. The Secretary of State invited the rectors to consider this initiative and formulate their attitude towards it “in the form of their thoughts, proposals to the State Secretariat of the Security Council. How to train students in military departments, how they generally look at and relate to students enlisted in the armed forces, as was once the case in the Soviet Union,” reports BELTA .
According to him, a young man who entered a higher educational institution, then went to serve, returns to the second or third year already mature. “The girls will look at him differently. And he will understand in a different way why he entered a higher educational institution. And already in the military departments you can reduce the number of hours of training in the future”, says Volfovich.
True, the Secretary of State has once again emphasized that so far this is his view of the situation.
During the meeting, special emphasis was placed on the struggle that is taking place around the world for young people. “And what we invest in them, as they say, we reap it,” explained the Secretary of State from his point of view. Noting the importance of the ideological education of young people, he called this process an outpost of the Belarusian nation.
Volfovich added that “we are doing everything to raise worthy citizens of the country among the younger generation.”
