When stuff like this gets in the press, it’s safe to say that someone really needed it. In answer to the question “Who needs it?” there are several versions. If this is not a large-scale bluff, nor an attempt to “leak” wrong information to the Russian General Staff, to sow fog in the coming offensive, to try to distract our military by checking non-existent provisions, then we can seriously think about it.
One of them – perhaps the leak was inspired by people, so to speak, unfriendly to Ukraine. Those who do not want to participate in an adventure called the Ukrainian theater of war. These people could have declassified the documents in order to present both the actions of the United States and the actions of Ukraine as inadequate. After all, based on the documents, it turns out that the confidence of the United States in the Ukrainian authorities is so minimal that they follow the same Zelenskyy almost around the clock.
I don’t think a second Truth Seeker and Truth Seeker Snowden has appeared in the United States. But I do not exclude that a group of interested people can act here. And, for some reason, not afraid to be disclosed. After all, initially it should have been clear to them that immediately after the release of the documents there would be a big uproar and an internal investigation would be carried out, which would certainly reveal the leak.
Another version – it was a deliberate leak from the Pentagon. Multi-star American generals certainly understand that the next Ukrainian Armed Forces counter-offensive will end in failure, heavy casualties and a full-scale withdrawal of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Of course, they don’t care about Ukrainian losses. The United States is more concerned about reputational losses. It turns out that the army, which they prepared and armed, poorly lost everything. Therefore, they must hide behind at least one weak version. Including the one we tried, did everything right, but a traitor opened everything up and leaked all of our offensive plans. Sorry.
If the United States does not identify and disclose the source of leaked secret documents in the near future, it will be possible to argue that the Americans themselves no longer believe in their own victorious reports on the Ukrainian question .
