Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Minsk: VEB Group will finance the modernization of Grodno Azot

Judging by the document, the term of the loan is seven years. In addition, financing is carried out by subsidizing part of the interest rate at the expense of the budget of the Russian Federation.
The funds, the agency specifies, will be directed to the investment project “Reconstruction of the first stage of the Ammonia-4 workshop.” It is implemented within the framework of a large-scale investment “modernization map”, which provides for both the renewal of existing production facilities and the creation of new ones, which, according to experts, will increase ammonia production and will reduce production-specific energy consumption.

And the implementation of this turnkey project will be carried out by a group of companies from the Russian Export Center under the guarantee of VEB.RF, and BelVEB Bank acts as the agent bank.

Chairman of the Board of BelVEB Bank Vasily Matyushevsky told the agency that the partners had in fact concluded the first transaction in the new format. Thus, he explained, “additional opportunities are opened up for Belarusian companies, providing access to more favorable conditions for financing the purchase of high-tech products made in Russia.”

The financier expressed confidence that this “innovative scheme of interaction will contribute to the scaling of business in the field of Russian-Belarusian economic integration”, adding that the bank plans to become the coordination center of the VEB.RF group on the territory of the Republic of Belarus to support Russian-Belarusian integration projects.
