Trump has asked for a civil battery and defamation lawsuit to be dismissed in a lawsuit brought by journalist and writer Jeanne Carroll. The ex-president spoke of the “widespread unfair and biased decisions” of the president of the court.
Trump attorney Joe Takopina called for the investigation to be dropped early Monday morning. In his appeal, he asked Judge Lewis Kaplan to “correct the record in each instance where the court misrepresented the facts to the jury.”
Recall that Jean Carroll filed a lawsuit against Trump and accused him of rape in the department store Bergdorf Goodman in the 1990s. Afterwards, Trump disparaged her, denying her guilt, claiming that she was not his gender and that she had made this declaration in order to increase the sales of her book.
Meanwhile, Trump has arrived in Scotland to tour its golf courses. “I will meet many great friends and cut the ribbon for an exciting new second course in Aberdeen,” he wrote on Truth.
