There is a good news for the disabled that now the disabled will be able to get their unique ID card made sitting at home. Actually, earlier the unique ID card was made by hand. Earlier, the Divyangjans had to struggle a lot to get it made.
To make Divyang Unique ID Card, first Divyangjans had to fill the form and submit it to the station superintendent or chief booking supervisor office of their nearest railway station along with the Divyangjan certificate made by the CMO along with necessary documents.
After this, after verifying the disability certificate issued by the concerned hospitals by the commercial inspector, the unique ID card of the disabled was made from the DRM office only after it was found correct. But now the Railways has made the process of making Divyang Unique ID Card online.

In this regard, Deepak Kumar, director of Buxar’s Galaxy Cyber Cafe, told that the UID card of the disabled will be generated by logging on to the railway website. By clicking on this link, Divyang brothers can create their ID by entering their name, e-mail, Aadhaar number, mobile number.
He told that if the site runs properly then applying for UID can be done online in 1 to 2 minutes. After the UID card is generated, whenever the Divyang passenger applies for the ticket, he will have to give a photo copy of his UID card. Although he told that there are problems in making this site online, it may be that the Railways has started this service afresh. So there are some glitches in the initial phase.

Expressing happiness over the online service, District President of Divyang Sangh Jitendra Kumar Thakur said that earlier Divyangjans had to travel from station to DRM office to get UID card made. Due to which many problems had to be faced. But, now sitting at home or in a cyber cafe, online UID card can be generated from mobile, Divyangjan will get great relief in traveling by rail.
Explain that the online application made for UID will be first received by the Commerce Department of the DRM office. According to the officials, a unique ID card will be made for the disabled if found correct during the verification of the disability certificate obtained from the concerned hospital by the commercial inspector. Which can be downloaded by logging on to the Divyang Jan Portal.
