Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

What was the conversation with Evgeny Kaspersky in Belarusian universities?

One of the founders and head of the laboratory of the same name, explaining the essence of the concept of cyber-immunity, clarified that it consists in providing such a level of protection at which the cost of a cyber-attack on an organization exceeds the amount of any damages.

This is why, he explained, in the digital future, information systems must be designed and built in such a way as to secure a fully networked ecosystem. After all, cybersecurity issues, recalled the greatest authority on the matter, are an integral part of national security and are therefore always in the field of vision of the Head of State.

Meeting with a Russian programmer in the Belarusian capital, informs BELTA , took place with the support of the operational-analytical center under the supervision of the President of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry responsible for the republic. As part of the dialogue, the agency said, its participants had the opportunity to ask practical questions in a live format to one of the world’s leading experts in the field of information security.

The fact is that Kaspersky said that, on the one hand, interaction with the latest technologies is getting closer every day. But on the other hand, “with the increase in the number of smart devices, the number of vulnerabilities also increases.” In the past year alone, the speaker said, his lab collected about 400,000 unique new malicious files daily from the Internet.

And when it comes to technologies used in business or industry, he added, the risks associated with information security are particularly high, because “attackers can access sensitive data or cause costly production downtimes, therefore it is especially important to constantly raise the level of training and expertise of specialists in the field of cybersecurity,” Kaspersky said.

By the way, Kaspersky Lab products and solutions are widely distributed in the Belarusian market and enjoy well-deserved prestige and popularity both in business and among ordinary users. And for Russian specialists, the Belarusian market, analysts admit, is of interest not only for the sale of their products, but also as a country with highly qualified personnel in the field of cybersecurity. After all, since 2020, the Republic of Belarus demonstrates in practice the presence of a high level of competence in the field of cybersecurity, the agency summarizes.
