Even before the end of the meeting of the opposition held in Patna, the veteran spokespersons of BJP started presenting various arguments in their criticism. In a democracy, if the ruling party runs the governance of the country, then the opposition also gives its cooperation by playing a political role. The opposition unity meeting also included those parties which have ruled the country for decades and those parties which are running the government in one state or the other. That’s why none of his role is undemocratic.
The opposition has every right to make efforts to come to power. In fact, both bringing them to power and removing them is the work of the people of the country. Politicians can come together, strategize, and forge alliances among dissenters, but to garner credibility among the public, something more has to be done than the leaders of the ruling party.
It is true that chemistry is more important than arithmetic in politics. There is no need to comment on the resolution of contesting the elections together in the Patna meeting. Such thoughts are always loose. For example, the future of the electoral alliance between the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Pata in Punjab and Delhi can be naturally predicted. In such alliances, there are more possibilities of Prondli contest. Sometimes even the opposing parties make mismatch agreements to increase the seats, but there is enmity among the workers, so instead of winning, both lose. It is not certain that if the leaders meet, their voters will also meet. Therefore, it was unnecessary for the BJP to make hue and cry even before the meeting was over. If the BJP is sure that the public agrees with its policy, leadership and intentions, then what is the justification for making so many taunts against the opposition meeting. It is another matter that the way the BJP is speaking against this meeting today, Congress used to use the same language once upon a time for the parties trying to unite the opposition. The truth is that if there were no differences between the opposition parties or the coalitions of the ruling party, then why would they have been different parties at all! In a democracy, formation of parties on the basis of ideas is auspicious for democracy. (sp)
