In Hongmiao Village, Anchi County, east China’s Jiangsu Province, an enterprising team of college students have worked with local people to turn an abandoned mine pit into a popular tourist destination. In less than a year, three and a half million tourists visited the village. “Turning ruins into scenery” brought Hongmiao Village an income of more than 6 million yuan. Hongmiao Village was formerly a large mining village. Chen Shuoqin, 30, was born in Anchi County. In the beginning of the year 2022, he returned to his hometown with 6 of his friends to start a business. Chen Shuoqin and his team cooperated with Hongmiao Village to build the “Deep Blue Project” common wealth workshop. The villagers not only receive share dividends, but also rent and salary. It is said that in recent years, Chiang Province has begun to build “future villages”, which aim to lead the digital life experience, is focusing on building a new rural community introducing the elements and highlighting the charm of Chinese traditional culture.
