The center implements a multidisciplinary approach that creates an individual rehabilitation path for each child. Speech therapists, psychologists, physical rehabilitation specialists work with children.
From this year, occupational therapists will begin to work – specialists in the restoration of social, domestic, professional, functional and motor skills of people with disabilities, and physiotherapists engaged in improving the motor development of the child. At the moment, specialists are being trained in St. Petersburg. In addition, further training of speech therapists in the sense of “complementary adaptive communication” is planned.
Particular attention in the rehabilitation of children with cerebral palsy is paid to the acquisition of modern high-tech equipment, which has been in use in the center since the end of last year. For example, the NIRVANA interactive virtual reality system can train coordination in a fun way, and for more severe patients to develop cognitive functions.
