Bob Odenkirk’s next project is a very unexpected remake. Tommy Wiseau’s cult classic, The Room is revisited with Bob in the lead role.
The actor personally confirmed the news on Twitter, expressing his excitement for the upcoming project. “It’s the reality. It’s true. And I promise I’ll do my best to ‘sell’ every line, as honestly as possible…and yes, I had a (brain) blast.”
Tommy Wiseau not only directed The Room, but starred in it as well. The film is considered the worst in the history of cinema: a crude script, a sagging plot, unconvincing characters and poor acting. However, black public relations have done their job, and The Room is now considered a cinema classic, in the USA for example, it is regularly screened, and James Franco devoted an entire feature film to it, The Disaster Artist (2017) .
