All miners from the burning mine in the Rostov region were evacuated after 4 hours

All employees were completely evacuated from a burning mine in the Rostov region. The rescue operation lasted about four hours.

The incident happened around 10:30 a.m. During the day shift at a depth of almost 200 meters, an accident occurred at the substation. In a few minutes, the smoke covered all the free space. 229 people were trapped. Many people could not go out alone. Mountain rescuers immediately responded to the call.

For four hours they helped company employees get out. The evacuation was completely over around 2:30 p.m.

– At the site of the emergency, a dumping is underway to cool the rocks, – reported the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies of the Rostov region.

According to preliminary data, none of the stranded people needed medical assistance.
