The Petushinsky district administration reported that yesterday, April 2, residents of Pokrov bid farewell to 27-year-old Alexander Smirnov, who was mobilized in the fall of 2022.

Alexander fell under mortar fire. He died during the evacuation of the wounded from the battlefield.

The soldier is survived by his wife and young son.

The memory of the soldier at the funeral was honored with a minute of silence.

Words of condolence to relatives and friends were expressed by the head of the Petushinsky district, Elena Volodina, the head of Pokrov, Oleg Kislyakov, and the head of the Pokrov administration, Dmitry Rogov, as well as the military commissar, lieutenant colonel of the reserve, Bobkov SA
