Following an explosion during a creative evening of war correspondent Vladlen Tatarsky in a cafe in St. Petersburg, the number of victims rose to 32. This was reported to the Russian Ministry of Health.
“In St. Petersburg, as a result of an incident in a cafe, 32 people were injured, one person died,” the department’s press service told TASS.
Ten of the injured are said to be in critical condition. At the same time, the condition of 16 people, including a 14-year-old girl, is assessed as average, 5 people are in fair condition. The Ministry of Health stressed that all necessary assistance is provided to victims in stationary conditions.
Earlier, a surveillance camera at the entrance to a cafe on Universitetskaya embankment in St. Petersburg captured a woman who allegedly brought a figurine with explosives to the recital of military commissar Vladlen Tatarsky. The recording shows that the suspect in the organization of the explosion came to the cafe with a large box.
Also, a man who came to a meeting with the military commissar Tatarsky told the details of the explosion in the northern capital. According to the victim, the ambulance and the police arrived quickly. The man expressed his gratitude to the medical staff.
