Culture Minister Olga Obukhova spoke about the calendar of cultural recreation at the operational meeting of the regional government.
The highlight of April was the 150th anniversary of the birth of Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninoff. Numerous concerts, creative evenings, exhibitions and interactive events will be held in various cultural institutions in the Arctic.
Another comprehensive holiday that Russia and the Murmansk region will celebrate in April is Cosmonautics Day. Quizzes, conferences and much more will be organized in the cultural centers. In addition, the regional Ministry of Culture said that on April 12, Sopki.21A will host a single Astronautics Day. The scientific and educational program “Space Hour” will be held that day at the regional scientific library.
Also, as part of the plan “In the North – to live”, many meetings at the federal level will be held. So, this year the International Festival of Puppet Theaters “Polar Owl” will be held in Murmansk from April 19 to 24.
