There is always a good atmosphere in the evening at the Laugavegi House of Language and Culture. Where people used to handcraft books and stationery with art, instruments and microphones have now taken over.
Every night of the week, house band The Honky Tonks take the stage between 8-11 pm, sing and play with art and invite guests to request songs. The more daring are invited to take the stage and sing the song with the group.
The group usually ends the evening with the song Shallow from the film A Star is Born, memorably performed by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, a song that is not for everyone. The group always invites a woman from the audience to sing the song with them. On Wednesday night a week ago, a young girl came on stage, sang the last song of the night with the band, and did it skillfully. However, the boys had no idea who the girl was except that she was a foreign tourist.
However, the girl didn’t care and posted a video of the song on her Instagram and tagged the house band, then it turned out that the songbird is Carys Zeta Douglas, the couple’s 19-year-old daughter. of world-renowned actors Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas.

Catherine Zeta-Jones, Cary’s mother, captioned the video. “Carys!!!!! Great! I would have loved to be there. I like you. Have fun.”
Sigurbjörn Dagbjartsson, the band’s lead singer, responds to the comment and says his daughter was one of the best guest singers to ever sing with them. “I got down on my knees and asked him to come back the next night.”
