Arson attack on a grocery store in Cookshire-Eaton

COOKSHIRE-EATON | A grocery store was the target of an arson fire at around 3 a.m. Sunday in Cookshire-Eaton, said the Sûrete du Quebec.

The SQ, which was contacted by the firefighters, recorded no injuries or arrests, said SQ sergeant Claude Denis.

A fire technician and an investigator have been dispatched to the scene, which remains under surveillance, This is not the first time when this happened in Eaton, added Sergeant Denis.

Damage to the building was caused by water and smoke.

No neighbors were evacuated, according to the SQ.
