Coronavirus: the first French death among three new confirmed cases in France

Three new cases of coronavirus have been detected in France, one of the victims of which, a 60-year-old Frenchman, died during the night of Tuesday to Wednesday in a Parisian hospital. The balance sheet in France now amounts to 17 contaminations and two deaths.

A 60-year-old Frenchman contaminated by the new coronavirus appeared in China died on the night of Tuesday 25 to Wednesday 26 February at the Parisian hospital of La Pitie-Salpêtriere, announced on Wednesday the Director-General of Health, Jerome Salomon.

The victim is one of three new cases identified in France on Wednesday, where the death toll now stands at 17 people infected and two deaths.

The other two new cases concern a 55-year-old man in Amiens, who is in serious condition, and a 36-year-old man in Strasbourg, returned from Lombardy, whose situation is not considered serious, said Jerome Salomon.
