58-year-old flees the police – fraud investigation

LUDWIGSHAFEN – A 58-year-old driver chased himself with the police in Ludwigshafen. During the ten-kilometer journey on Tuesday night, a 24-year-old, a 20-year-old and an 11-year-old child were still in the car with the man, the police said.

Officials wanted to control the man in the city center because of increased speed. However, the 58-year-old ignored all signals from the police and drove over several streets and finally onto the highway. He was traveling at about 120 kilometers an hour.

After several failed attempts to stop, the officers stopped the car on a turning lane and checked the driver. A breath alcohol test showed a value of 0.67 per thousand. “In addition, cheap carpets and completed invoice receipts were found in the interior of the car, indicating that the carpets had been sold overpriced,” said the police. The man is now under investigation for fraud.
