Munich – Hansi Flick has advised former striker Miroslav Klose about his possible involvement as an assistant coach with the FC Bayern professionals. This is confirmed by the head coach of the German soccer record champion.
“Of course it’s clear that I spoke to Miro,” said Flick. “But I will still speak to one or the other.” The 41-year-old Klose is still coach of the U17 at Munich until the end of the season and has been giving his football coaching certificate from summer onwards. “I think it would be an asset to our coaching team,” said Flick.
The coach, who himself got a new contract until 2023, did not want to go into further detail. “It’s just as important, as with the players, that you don’t talk too much because it is important that everyone should think without the influence of the media,” said Flick. National team record goal scorer Klose, who had become world champion together with Flick in 2014 in Brazil, must now “decide for himself” about his future.
