No training in the attic apartment

Berlin – golf professional Sebastian Heisele sees himself at a disadvantage compared to other players in the corona pandemic due to his limited training opportunities in his attic apartment in Munich.

“A few of my colleagues who live in the country can at least play in the garden, for example by knocking them into a net,” said the 31-year-old from the “Augsburger Allgemeine”. It would be “not so easy” for him. Instead of playing golf, he now cycles two to three hours a day.

Heisele calculated chances to start with Martin Kaymer at the Olympic Games in Tokyo in the summer. He hopes that his Olympic qualification points will apply to 2021 as well. “That would be fair,” he said. This summer’s Olympic Games have been postponed by one year due to the Corona crisis. Golf tournaments have not been held for several weeks. Heisele plays on the European Tour.
