Berlin (TEH) – At least 124,167 infections with the new coronavirus had been registered in Germany by the evening (a previous day at 8:15 p.m .: 121.30 infections). This is the result of an evaluation by the German Press Agency, which takes into account the latest figures from the federal states. The time at which a new daily status is reported varies from state to state.
Also, some of the federal states do not always report their numbers at the same time; at least 2,830 people infected with the pathogen Sars-CoV-2 have reportedly died nationwide so far (previous day at 8:15 p.m .: 2670). Several Germans died abroad in connection with a corona infection.
According to estimates by the Robert Koch Institute, around 60,200 people survived the infection in Germany, with Bavaria having more than 32,780 cases and at least 803 deaths, North Rhine-Westphalia with more than 26,330 cases and at least 569 deaths, and Baden-Wurttemberg around 24,431 cases and at least 669 deaths. Based on 100,000 inhabitants, Bavaria has the highest number of infections with a value of 250.7.
The national average was 148.7. However, the number of tests per 100,000 inhabitants varies in the federal states. As in other countries, experts expect a high number of unreported cases to be recorded in Germany.
