Werder rejects Naldo offer: “Return is not an issue”

Bremen – Brazilian defender Naldo has no chance of returning to Werder Bremen despite his offer.

“We have at least four central defenders under contract in the new season. We are also in the process of rejuvenating the team. Therefore, a return is not an issue, »said Werder’s Sports Managing Director Frank Baumann of the« Bild »newspaper.

The 37-year-old Naldo had offered his former club his athletic help last week. «Frank Baumann just has to report. I am not averse to coming back to Bremen again. If Werder needs me, I’m ready, »said the 37-year-old football professional on the Internet portal« Deichstube ».

Naldo played for Bremen from 2005 to 2012. The center-back then switched to VfL Wolfsburg, FC Schalke 04 and most recently to French first division club AS Monaco, where he canceled his contract in January shortly before the Corona crisis began.
