Argentina: A medical plane crashed in an attempt to land in Esquel

A medical plane crashed while trying to land in Esquel. All its occupants died. The flight had left Santa Fe to search for a baby to be referred for an emergency but the pilot lost control of the ship when descending.

According to reports, two crew members were travelling, a doctor and a nurse. According to the first data, there are no survivors and the flight was to take the girl to Buenos Aires.

The plane crashed at around 11 pm at the north end of the airport and they believe the accident was caused by poor visibility: 100 meters.

The press in the city with one of the most important ski centres in the country indicated that the patient’s family was waiting in the ambulance to board when the explosion was heard and then they saw the flames.

Shortly afterwards, members of the Volunteer Fire Department, the Provincial Police and the medical assistance teams arrived.

The Transportation Safety Board reported that the aircraft crashed at the airport. International Brigadier General Antonio Parodi (Chubut) was a Learjet 35 Matr. LV-BXU.
