Assam(India): Authorities recover two dead newborn babies at Bhogdoi river near Jyoti Nagar of Mariani Town

Two dead newborn babies have been recovered at the Bhogdoi river near Jyoti Nagar of Mariani Town ward No.1 under Jorhat district today morning.

Both dead newborn babies were kept in the same big polythene packets where a newborn baby report card of Jorhat Medical College Hospital was tagged with the packet. The Mariani police arrived at the spot and started to investigate the matter.

During COVID lockdown this kind of incidents are gaining more momentum. The crime rate has increased rapidly in the whole region.

Naturally, the sorrowful incident reacts to the locality.
