The Russian Ministry of Defense released a video of escorting B-52H bombers of the United States Air Force by fighters of the Russian Aerospace Forces.
The interception took place on Friday, May 19, over the neutral waters of the Sea of Okhotsk. After American planes were discovered by the air defense forces of the Eastern Military District, Su-30, Su-35 and MiG-31 fighters took to the air to escort the bombers.

There were no violations of the Russian state border. Fighters of the Russian Aerospace Forces performed flights “in strict accordance with the International Rules for the Use of Airspace over Neutral Waters, without violating the borders of other states,” the Ministry of Defense noted.
