The coronavirus pandemic is not even close to being over, said WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

Addressing reporters, he said it was a harsh reality and that the pandemic is stimulating even though many countries had made some progress globally.

  • We all want this to end. We want to get on with our lives. But, the harsh reality is that this is not even close to the end – Tedros pointed out.

The WHO plans to hold a meeting during the week to assess progress in the field of research aimed at combating COVID-19.
