Coronavirus in Ukraine – Statistics on the spread of the disease on September 6

As of Sunday, September 6, there are 135 894 cases of coronavirus infection in Ukraine. Over the past day, the disease was diagnosed in 2,107 people.

At the same time, 578 people overcame COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, according to the map of the National Security and Defense Council.

It is noted that 35 people died from the disease during the day, during the entire epidemic – 2 846.

We will remind, from August 1 in Ukraine there are additional quarantine restrictions by regions,  depending on which of the zones this or that region belongs to . Regions with the lowest incidence of COVID-19 are in the green zone, while those with significant prevalence are in the orange and red zones. With a decrease/increase in morbidity, the region will fall into the buffer “yellow” zone.

The indicators for the transition between zones remain the same: bed occupancy, number of tests, growth dynamics, and detection rate of new cases. But they will be calculated by automated software, and the standards themselves will be harmonized with European ones.

On August 31, a new quarantine zoning came into force in Ukraine, this time the “red” zone extends to 10 cities and 11 regions.

Since the beginning of summer, the epidemiological situation in Ukraine has been deteriorating, the number of new infections is growing daily. Health Minister Maxim Stepanov explained this trend by the unwillingness of Ukrainians to adhere to the rules for the prevention of coronavirus .
