Erdogan: Greece will either talk or face the consequences

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan warned Greece today to enter talks on disputed territories in the eastern part of the Mediterranean Sea or to face the consequences.

“Either he will understand the language of politics and diplomacy or he will enter the sector of painful experiences,” Erdogan said.

Erdogan clarified that he would understand that Turkey has the political, economic, and military power to destroy immoral maps and imposed documents.

Analysts say he meant areas that Greece and Cyprus have marked as economic maritime zones.

The Turkish president added that Ankara is “ready for any eventuality and result”.

Ankara is currently in dispute with Greece and Cyprus over oil and gas exploration in the eastern Mediterranean.

The Turkish media state that the tanks were transferred to the Greek border.

The Cumhuriyet newspaper writes that 40 tanks were transferred from the Syrian border to Edirne in northwestern Turkey. Photos of armored vehicles on trucks have been published.
