The army of Karabakh partially withdraws troops

The command of the armed forces of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) withdrew troops on the line of contact in a number of regions. Press Secretary of the NKR President Vahram Poghosyan announced this on Facebook.

“Based on tactical considerations, the Defense Army withdrew its troops in some areas of the contact line in order to avoid unnecessary casualties and inflict more damage on the enemy,” Poghosyan wrote.

He added that the Karabakh forces have achieved their goal, the command continues to professionally conduct military operations.

Earlier, Poghosyan said that in the battles in Karabakh, the Azerbaijani army lost more than 3.1 thousand people killed and over 5.2 thousand wounded. On the Armenian side , according to the press secretary of the NKR President, the losses amounted to 230 people killed and more than 200 wounded.
