In connection with a sharp increase in the number of cases of coronavirus, the Czech government made a decision quarantine schools at all levels in the country from Wednesday 14 October.

The head of the Czech Ministry of Education, Robert Plaga, specified that schoolchildren will switch to distance learning from October 14 to 23, and then, after this term, they will have holidays until November 1.

The Czech government expects that this measure will affect the dynamics of the spread of the coronavirus and significantly reduce the daily statistics.

It is clarified that the measure taken does not in any way apply to the work of kindergartens.

At the same time, the head of the Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic clarified that the official decision on the transfer of all schools in the country to quarantine has only been agreed upon, and it will be officially announced later.

On the eve of the Czech Republic came into force new, tougher restrictions that will be in effect for two weeks.

As a reminder, the State Commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergencies of Ukraine on October 12 recommended to schools to go on vacation, and universities to distance learning from October 15.

“The commission decided to recommend that institutions of general secondary education establish vacations from October 15 to 30, 2020, in the next period, it is possible to switch to distance and mixed forms of education, taking into account the epidemiological situation. It is also recommended to institutions of professional (vocational and technical) education, vocational before higher and higher education to switch to distance learning from October 15 to November 15, 2020 “, – stated in the message.

At the same time, students are encouraged to leave hostels, except for orphans, persons deprived of parental care, applicants for education from the temporarily occupied territories, “red” quarantine zones, foreign citizens and stateless persons, and education seekers who combine study with work.

Also on Monday, October 12, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine recommended that schools start autumn holidays from October 15, but the head of the Kiev State Consumer Service Oleg Ruban said that autumn holidays in Kiev will start on October 21st as planned … According to him, the task today is to “passively immunize children and young people in order to stop the activity of the epidemiological process.”
