Coronavirus in the world – Italy imposes another strict quarantine

Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte signed an emergency decree on the evening of October 12, which is scheduled for 30 days until November 13.

The decree provides for a number of new bans that are aimed at overcoming the coronavirus crisis, writes RBK-Ukraine with reference to The Local newspaper.

It is reported that the measures introduced in Italy are much harsher than previously discussed – they prohibit parties in all indoor and outdoor areas.

Civil or religious ceremonies such as weddings and christenings are permitted according to the rules set by the decrees already in force, and receptions and post-ceremony events are limited to a maximum of 30 guests (previously 200).

Restaurants, pizzerias, and trattorias must close no later than midnight. It is forbidden to gather outside of places such as bars and restaurants from 21:00 to 6:00 and to engage in all non-professional contact sports.

Also, the Italian government extended the state of emergency in the country due to the coronavirus.

Recall as of Tuesday in the world 37 801 526 cases were recorded infection with COVID-19.

Per day: 392,933 new people, died: 1,080,680 people (4,738 per day), recovered: 26,275,711 people (275,912 per day).

The largest epicenters of the spread of the disease remain: the United States – 7,804,199 cases (41,653 per day), India – 7,175,880 cases (122,074 in two days), Brazil – 5,103,408 cases (8,429 per day).

In early September, the number of daily new cases of coronavirus infection will grow to 5-6 thousand, and the occupied beds in hospitals will rise to 40 thousand.
