More than a million children have been infected with the coronavirus in the United States

More than a million children are infected with the coronavirus in the United States.

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the Union of Pediatric Hospitals said in a joint statement that from the start of the pandemic until November 12, coronavirus infection was confirmed in 1,039,464 children in the United States.

The statement said that coronavirus infection was confirmed in 111,946 children in the United States last week.

AAP leader Sallu Goza said the numbers of infected children were surprising and staggering because such a virus explosion had never been seen before among the youngest population.

The coronavirus appeared in the Chinese city of Wuhan at the end of last year, and the World Health Organization (WHO) declared a global COVID-19 pandemic on March 11 this year.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in the world, coronavirus infection has been confirmed in 55,091,740 people, and 38,317,724 patients have recovered. 1,328,316 people have died from coronavirus infection in the world.

There are currently 15,445,700 actively infected people in the world, of which 99,207 are seriously ill.

The COVID-19 pandemic hit the United States the hardest, with 11,417,590 people infected and 252,075 dead.
