In Germany, 962 deaths related to Covid-19 have been registered in the last 24 hours, the German Robert Koch Institute said.
The Institute states that in the same period, another 24,740 people tested positive for coronavirus in Germany.
The statement said that the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus infection had risen to 1,554,920 since the beginning of the epidemic in Germany and that 27,968 people had died as a result of the infection.
