All passengers flying to the US must be tested and quarantined

US President Joe Biden has passed a decree according to which all passengers flying to the US will have to have a negative test before the flight and go into quarantine after arrival.

In light of the new strains of coronavirus, we are introducing a measure for those arriving in the United States by plane from other countries, Biden said in a speech launching his administration’s plan to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

Apart from wearing a mask, everyone who flies to the United States from another country will have to be tested before boarding the plane, before taking off and quarantined when they arrive in America, Biden told the White House.

He also ordered U.S. agencies to agree with colleagues from Canada and Mexico on public health protocols at road border crossings, including the application of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Almost all travel that is not necessary between the United States and Canada and Mexico is banned until February 21.
