Turkey offers its military expertise to Uzbekistan

Turkish Chief of Staff Yasar Guler said that the country’s armed forces are always ready to share their military expertise with their Uzbek counterparts, reports Anadolu Agency.

This came during his meeting with the Uzbek Chief of Staff, Shuhrat Halmuhammedov, on Tuesday, as part of an official visit he is conducting to the capital, Tashkent.

During the meeting, Guler discussed with Hammadov issues of cooperation between the Turkish and Uzbek armed forces.

Guler expressed the readiness of the Turkish Armed Forces to share the knowledge and military experience it possesses with its Uzbek counterpart, to the extent that its capabilities and resources allow.

For his part, Hammadov stressed that Uzbekistan attaches great importance to developing relations with Turkey.

He added, “We would like to show once again our readiness to enhance cooperation with our Turkish friends.”

On March 25, Guler is expected to visit Termez, Uzbekistan, to follow ongoing joint military exercises between the two countries.

And on Monday, joint military exercises between the Uzbek and Turkish armed forces were launched in the city of Termez, Uzbekistan, within the framework of the military cooperation plan between the two countries, and it is scheduled to conclude on March 27.
