Mohammed bin Salman discusses with Putin and Macron the importance of a “Green Middle East Initiative”

Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of Saudi Arabia, made two phone calls on Thursday to Russian President Vladimir Putin and French President Emmanuel Macron.

The two contacts discussed the environmental challenges the world faces, the economic, social and health implications that follow, and the qualitative initiatives contained in the declaration of the “Green Saudi Arabia” and “Green Middle East” initiatives to face these challenges through afforestation and clean energy programs, using modern and innovative methods and new technologies.

It was emphasized that this initiative is one of the most ambitious global initiatives in terms of reforming degraded lands and reducing carbon levels.

Presidents Putin and Macron expressed their welcome to the Saudi initiatives, and the interest of their two countries to make all possible efforts to support them and achieve their goals.
