Turkish Defense Ministry: neutralizing 3 YPG terrorists in northern Syria

The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced, on Saturday, that 3 terrorists from the “YPG / PKK” organization have been neutralized after they opened fire and tried to infiltrate the “Operation Peace Spring” in northern Syria.

The ministry said in a statement: “Our heroic special forces managed to neutralize 3 terrorists from the organization, after they opened fire on the Peace Spring area and tried to infiltrate it, with the aim of destabilizing the security and stability environment in it.”

On October 9, 2019, the Turkish army, with the participation of the Syrian National Army, launched Operation Peace Spring , east of the Euphrates River in northern Syria, to cleanse it of the YPG / PKK and ISIS terrorists, and create a safe area for the return of Syrian refugees. To their country.

Turkey managed to liberate the cities of Tal Abyad and Ras al-Ain from terrorists during the operation, which was suspended by the Turkish army on the 17th of the same month after Ankara and Washington reached an agreement to withdraw terrorists from the region, followed by a similar agreement with Russia in Sochi on the 22nd of the same month.
