Actress Rose McGowan talks harshly about the chat show queen Oprah Winfrey .
She does so in a post on Twitter and shares a photo of Oprah kissing filmmaker and convicted sex offender Harvey Weinstein on the cheek. The film was shot in 2014 at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards.
Rose wrote with the film: “I am glad more are seeing the ugly truth of @Oprah. I wish she were real, but she isn’t. From being pals with Weinstein to abandoning & destroying Russell Simmon’s victims, she is about supporting a sick power structure for personal gain, she is as fake as they come. #lizard”

Rose decided to publicly criticize Oprah after the latter’s old interview with singer Dolly Parton began to attract attention on social media over the weekend. The reason for the attention is Oprah’s questions to Dolly Parton. Many felt that the talk show queen had deliberately tried to embarrass the famous singer with awkward questions.

In 2018, Oprah Winfrey was asked about her friendship with Harvey Weinstein. She said she did not know about his alleged behavior towards women, including Rose McGowan who accused him of rape, but Oprah admitted that she was aware that he was aggressive.
“I was in Chicago, in my own world, but what I knew about Harvey was that Harvey was a bully and if Harvey called you would not answer because he would wade over a man in some way.”
