Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Presented .. “FIFA” reveals the details of the final draw for the World Cup “Qatar 2022”

The International Football Association (FIFA) revealed, on Tuesday, the details of the final draw for the 2022 World Cup, which will take place at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center on the first of next month.

The draw includes 28 teams out of 32 that have qualified for the World Cup along with host Qatar, awaiting the remaining three qualifiers after playing the play-off matches on April 13 and 14.

The Qatar Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy stated on its website that the drawing will start with the first teams pot (1) and end with the fourth teams pot (4), and each pot must be emptied before moving to the next.

As usual, a ball will be drawn from one of the teams’ pots, followed by a ball from one of the group pots, and this will determine the position in which each team will be placed.

The teams of each continental union will be divided into the eight groups, so that no two teams from the same continental union participate in one group, with the exception of Europe, represented by thirteen teams, where two European teams will compete in five groups out of eight.

For its part, Qatar’s beIN Sports network, the exclusive broadcaster of the World Cup matches in the Middle East and North Africa, said on its website that it will accompany the global event with exceptional coverage by allocating 6 channels, including an open channel.

On the same level, Nasser Al-Khater, CEO of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, confirmed that the World Cup draw process, scheduled for next Friday, will be the most important stage before the start of the finals of the most prominent football event in the world.

Al-Khater said, in a statement to Qatar News Agency, that “after conducting the draw process, the features of the Qatar World Cup will appear more clearly, as the teams will be settled in the eight groups, and then we will know all the teams, as well as the parties to all matches.”

He pointed out that the World Cup draw is expected to be watched by more than 200 million people around the world, with more than 350 channels broadcasting this important event.

It is noteworthy that Qatar is preparing to host the FIFA World Cup Finals starting from November 21, 2022, in a major sporting event to be held for the first time in the Arab region and the Middle East, and the second in Asia, after the World Cup in South Korea and Japan that was held in 2002.
