Kyiv, Ukraine: On Sunday, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba called on the G7 countries to impose “devastating sanctions” on Russia, accusing Moscow of committing massacres against civilians in the city of Bucha before its forces withdrew from it.
In a tweet via Twitter, Kuleba said that the “Bucha massacre proves that Russian hatred towards Ukrainians is beyond anything Europe has seen since WWII. The only way to stop this: help Ukraine kick Russians out as soon as possible. Partners know our needs. Tanks, combat aircraft, heavy air defense systems. Provide them NOW.”

“I call on the G7 to impose devastating sanctions (on Russia), close ports to Russian ships and goods, disconnect their banks from the SWIFT system of remittances, as well as impose an embargo on Russian oil, gas and coal,” he added.
In a second tweet, Kuleba said, “The Bucha massacre has proven that Russia’s hatred of Ukrainians exceeds anything Europe has experienced since World War II.”
He stressed that the only way to stop the Russians from their borders is to help Ukraine expel the Russians from its territory as soon as possible.
On Friday, Ukraine announced the liberation of Bucha, near the capital, Kyiv, from the Russian army.
While the scenes coming from the city after its liberation revealed the horror of the great violence and destruction that the city was subjected to, especially the spread of large numbers of corpses in the streets and alleys.
The Ukrainian side accuses the Russian soldiers of killing civilians before withdrawing from the city, but Moscow denied this, saying that it was a Ukrainian “fabrication and show”.
On February 24, Russia launched a military operation in Ukraine , which was followed by angry international reactions and the imposition of “tough” economic and financial sanctions on Moscow.
