Over a 1000 Ukrainian soldiers “voluntarily” surrendered in Mariupol

Moscow/ TEH:  On Wednesday, the Russian Defense Ministry said that more than 1,000 Ukrainian soldiers “voluntarily surrendered to Russian forces in the besieged coastal city of Mariupol for weeks.”

“The 1,026 Ukrainian soldiers of the 36th Marine Regiment in the city of Mariupol voluntarily surrendered their weapons and surrendered,” the ministry added in a statement.

In contrast, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry indicated that it “has no information” about the surrender of any of its soldiers.
