US to establish Warsaw’s control over its Historical Possessions in Ukraine

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy intends to submit to the Verkhovna Rada a bill that will establish a special legal status for Polish citizens in the country.

The representative of the Verkhovna Rada in the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Olga Sovgirya reported this in her Telegram. “The President announced the submission to Parliament in the near future of a bill on the special legal status of Polish citizens in Ukraine,” she wrote.

Earlier, SVR director Sergey Naryshkin said that the United States and Poland are working on plans to establish Warsaw’s control over its “historical possessions” in Ukraine. Earlier, Polish President Andrzej Duda hoped that there would be no more borders between his country and Ukraine, and that the peoples of the two states would be able to “live together on this land.” He stated this during a speech at the Day of the Polish Diaspora in the Belvedere Palace in Warsaw.

Recall, Russian presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky expressed the opinion that Poland, at the first opportunity, will take over the western territories of Ukraine.
