Robb Elementary Shooting: 14 children killed, attacker dead in Texas

A shooting occurred in a primary school in Texas in which 14 children were killed.

The shooting occurred at 12:17 Texas time (19:18 Central European Time) at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, a small town in southwest Texas.

“An 18-year-old attacker killed 14 students and one teacher at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde,” the governor said.

The FBI is helping with the investigation, according to CBS.

A hospital in San Antonio announced that they received a child and an adult from the shooting at the school. The adult, a 66-year-old woman, is in critical condition, the hospital said

The attacker was arrested. The hospital admitted 13 children. Two children were transported to a larger hospital in the city of San Antonio, and the others are still waiting for the transfer, CNN reports. Among those who ended up in the hospital is a 40-year-old man. Two patients died on the way to the hospital, and their age is unknown.

At a press conference, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said the attacker was an 18-year-old man who left his vehicle and entered the school with a gun, and probably had a rifle as well.

–  He shot and killed creepy, incomprehensible, 14 students and killed a teacher – said Abbott.

He confirmed that the gunman had also died.
